TOFOLA: Un Ponte tra Adriatico per il Patrimonio Marittimo

Il Progetto TOFOLA (co-finanziato dal Programma Interreg Italia-Croazia) prosegue a pieno ritmo con una serie di incontri e visite studio che hanno coinvolto il partenariato transfrontaliero, di cui Centro Consorzi è parte attiva. L’obiettivo è valorizzare il patrimonio marittimo attraverso l’innovazione, il restauro di imbarcazioni storiche e la creazione di nuovi itinerari turistici sostenibili.

1. Visita Studio Italiana: Porto Viro (RO)

Il 2 ottobre 2025 si è svolta a Porto Viro (RO) la study visit italiana, organizzata da LAGUNA S.N.C con il supporto di Centro Consorzi.

I momenti salienti della giornata sono stati:

  • Cantiere M.C. Nautica: Focus sulla ristrutturazione del Bragozzo, con condivisione di tecniche, materiali innovativi e soluzioni per l’accessibilità a bordo.
  • Innovazione Digitale: Presentazione dei QR code multilingua con contenuti inclusivi, un’azione chiave per la fruizione turistica delle barche pilota.
  • Esperienza del Territorio: Pranzo al Rifugio Il Ghebo, seguito da un tour in laguna tra i paesaggi tipici del Delta del Po e gli allevamenti di vongole.

2. Terzo Partner Meeting: Manzano (UD)

Centro Consorzi ha partecipato al 3° Partner Meeting del Progetto TOFOLA, ospitato da Legno Servizi Friuli-Venezia-Giulia a Manzano (UD) il 14 ottobre 2025.

L’incontro si è tenuto in uno spazio dedicato all’eco-design e alla sostenibilità, riflettendo pienamente lo spirito del progetto. Durante il meeting, i partner hanno discusso:

  • Avanzamento WP2 (Ricostruzione): Stato dei lavori di restauro delle due barche pilota (Bragozzo in Italia e Batana in Croazia).
  • Attività WP3 (Turismo): Progettazione degli itinerari turistici transfrontalieri, con l’obiettivo di rafforzare il coinvolgimento locale e definire i prossimi passi operativi.

3. Study Visits Croate: Rovigno e Kastelir

A novembre 2025, le attività si sono spostate in Croazia, con due study visit organizzate dai partner MARSERVIS e IDA.

Eco Museo della Batana (Rovigno)

  • Data: 13 novembre 2025 (pomeriggio).
  • Focus: La visita ha permesso di approfondire il forte legame culturale tra la città di Rovigno e l’uso delle Batane (imbarcazioni locali), tuttora utilizzate dai pescatori.
  • Approfondimenti: Dettagli sulle specie legnose utilizzate per la costruzione e il restauro, seguiti da un tour guidato a remi delle batane nel porto turistico.

Cantiere Navale di Kastelir

  • Data: 14 novembre 2025 (mattina).
  • Cantiere Marservis: Il partenariato ha visionato lo stato di avanzamento dei lavori di ristrutturazione della Batana, il prototipo croato dell’azione pilota.
  • Innovazione e Sostenibilità: Marservis ha presentato progetti rilevanti nell’ottica della sostenibilità ambientale, inclusi l’uso di materiali bio-based per la struttura degli scafi e l’implementazione di sistemi di propulsione totalmente elettrica.

Questi appuntamenti hanno rafforzato la collaborazione e la condivisione di buone pratiche, dimostrando che il Progetto TOFOLA è un motore fondamentale per la conservazione e l’innovazione del patrimonio navale adriatico.

The TOFOLA Project (co-financed by the Interreg Italy–Croatia Programme) is progressing at full speed through a series of meetings and study visits involving the cross-border partnership, of which Centro Consorzi is an active member. The goal is to enhance maritime heritage through innovation, the restoration of historic vessels, and the creation of new sustainable tourism itineraries.

1. Italian Study Visit: Porto Viro (RO)

On 2 October 2025, the Italian study visit took place in Porto Viro (RO), organised by LAGUNA S.N.C. with the support of Centro Consorzi.

Key highlights of the day included:

  • M.C. Nautica Shipyard: Focus on the refurbishment of the Bragozzo, with the sharing of techniques, innovative materials, and on-board accessibility solutions.
  • Digital Innovation: Presentation of multilingual QR codes with inclusive content, a key action to enhance the tourist experience of the pilot boats.
  • Territorial Experience: Lunch at Rifugio Il Ghebo, followed by a lagoon tour through the typical landscapes of the Po Delta and the clam farming areas.

2. Third Partner Meeting: Manzano (UD)

Centro Consorzi took part in the 3rd Partner Meeting of the TOFOLA Project, hosted by Legno Servizi Friuli Venezia Giulia in Manzano (UD) on 14 October 2025.

The meeting was held in a space dedicated to eco-design and sustainability, fully reflecting the spirit of the project. During the meeting, the partners discussed:

  • WP2 Progress (Reconstruction): The status of the restoration works on the two pilot boats (the Bragozzo in Italy and the Batana in Croatia).
  • WP3 Activities (Tourism): The design of cross-border tourist itineraries, with the aim of strengthening local involvement and defining the next operational steps.

3. Croatian Study Visits: Rovinj and Kaštelir

In November 2025, activities moved to Croatia, with two study visits organised by partners MARSERVIS and IDA.

Batana Eco-Museum (Rovinj)

  • Date: 13 November 2025 (afternoon).
  • Focus: The visit provided insight into the strong cultural link between the city of Rovinj and the use of Batana boats (traditional local vessels), which are still used by fishermen today.
  • In-depth insights: Details on the wood species used for construction and restoration, followed by a guided rowing tour of the batane in the marina.

Kaštelir Shipyard

  • Date: 14 November 2025 (morning).
  • Marservis Shipyard: The partnership reviewed the progress of the Batana refurbishment works, the Croatian prototype of the pilot action.
  • Innovation and Sustainability: Marservis presented relevant projects focused on environmental sustainability, including the use of bio-based materials for hull structures and the implementation of fully electric propulsion systems.

These events strengthened collaboration and the exchange of best practices, demonstrating that the TOFOLA Project is a key driver for the conservation and innovation of Adriatic maritime heritage.
